Fannie Odierno (1917 – 2016)
SAUGERTIES—Fannie (DiCarlucci) Odierno, 99, died peacefully at home September 1, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in the Bronx to Gaetano DiCarlucci and Lena Pinto and moved to Germantown in 1981. She resided there until 2004 before moving to Saugerties.
Mrs. Odierno was predeceased by her husband, Frank; her son, Joseph; her sisters, Rita and Yolanda and brothers Edward, Joseph, Eugene and Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Linda and Fred; her sisters, Stella and Gloria and her grandchildren, whom she considered her own children, Phyllis (Pete) Cotich, Lisa (Fred) Alger, Joanne (Mark) Rockefeller, Charles Staats, Dorothy Bruce, Stephanie and Fred Odierno, Jr.; her dedicated and loving great-grandchildren, Nicole Alger and Jennifer Bauhoff, Fred Alger, Tia Jones, Jordan and Devin Rockefeller, Breanna and Alexa Cotich, Tianna Klepacki, Alyssa Bruce, Aryanna and Henry Reis, Jr., Jason Perez, Jr. and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday, September 3 at the Church of the Resurrection of Germantown.
Burial followed at St Silvia’s Cemetery in Tivoli.

James E. Langdale (1939 – 2016)
MILAN—James E. Langdale, 77, of Milan passed away suddenly Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at his home.
Born March 12, 1939 in Astoria, he was the son of the late John and Lillian (Bartley) Langdale.
He married Janet Cioro, June 24, 1978 at St. Mary’s Church in Staten Island. She survives him at home in Milan.
For more than 33 years, Mr. Langdale worked as an installer for New York Telephone Company throughout New York City.
He was a communicant of St. Christopher’s Church in Red Hook, and was a member of the Red Hook Golf Club, where he won the 1977 Member/Member tournament.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: his twin sister, Jeanne (John) Kiley of Palm Coast, FL; his brothers, John (Judy) Langdale of Copake and Jeffrey (Jane) Langdale of Flushing; his sisters-in-law, Karen Callaghan of Staten Island, Susan Schenk of New Jersey, Patricia Coiro of Staten Island, Lori (Joe) Caputo of Staten Island and Marybeth Sarnelli of Staten Island; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Jerry Langdale.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, September 3, 2016 at St. Christopher’s Church, Red Hook with Father Patrick Buckley officiating. Interment will be private.

Elfriede Jacker (1931 – 2016)
VALATIE—Elfriede Jacker, 85, of Niverville died Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Barnwell Health Facilities.
Born June 13, 1931 in Heidelberg, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Ludwig and Johanna (Eppinger) Heuser. Mrs. Jacker was a proud Navy mom and a longtime member and deacon of the First Presbyterian Church in Valatie.
She is survived by: her son, Richard Jacker (Gayle) of Stuyvesant; her daughter, Mandy Jacker; a sister, Brigitta Milane of Reisling, Germany; a brother, Karl Ludwig Heuser of Wiesloch, Germany; her grandson, Ricky Jacker; three nieces and nephews, Christine, Lisa and Martin Heermance.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard K. Jacker.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 10, 11 am at the First Presbyterian Church, Valatie, with the Reverend Kathi Jones officiating.
