Sylvester Lowery (1934 – 2016)

HUDSON—Sylvester “Bat” Lowery of Hudson passed away October 23, 2016.

Born February 18, 1934 in Alabama he was the son of the late Ida and Horace Lowery.

He came to Hudson in 1968 and worked for L&B Products. Mr. Lowery enjoyed cars and pool.

He is survived by: his wife, Sandra M. Lowery (nee, Bost); his children, Melinda Daniels, Melissa Hull and Anthony Lowery; his stepson, Perry Daniels; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Calling hours and services will be at the Rock Solid Church, 334 Union Street, Hudson, Monday, October 31 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Arrangements are with the M. Grimaldi Funeral Home, 25 Railroad Avenue, Chatham.

David C. Beresheim (1940 – 2016)

KINDERHOOK—David C. Beresheim, 76, of Kinderhook died Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at his home.

Born September 14, 1940 in College Point, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (McKenna) Beresheim.

Mr. Beresheim was the owner of Presidential Estates on Route 9-H in Kinderhook. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and very dedicated to his family. He was generous and kind to his friends, had a great sense of humor and was always willing to help out anyone.

He is survived by: his wife of 55 years, Eileen (Werner) Beresheim; a daughter, Barbara Ras (Luis) of Manhassett; a son, Michael Beresheim (Gemma) of Highland Park, IL; six grandchildren, Amanda, Sophia, Joseph, Cristina, Daniela and Nicolas; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Daniel and Donald.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 31, 11 a.m. at St. Fidelis Church in College Point. Burial will follow in Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery, Flushing. Calling hours will be held Saturday, October 29 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, 1015 Kinderhook Street, Valatie. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
