Francis “Frank” Ezzell (1928 – 2017)
KINGSTON—Francis “Frank” Ezzell, 88, of Red Hook passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the HealthAlliance Broadway Campus.
Born July 10, 1928, in Meridian, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Gordon and Ola Frances Denton Ezzell.
He married Ethel “Beth” Hailfinger May 3, 1952 in Pomona, NJ.
She predeceased him August 26, 2008. Mr. Ezzell was also predeceased by his daughter, Glenda Ezzell.
For more than 20 years Mr. Ezzell served his country, first in the United States Navy as radio and navigation specialist. He then went on serve in the Air Force as a precision measurement specialist, attaining the rank of master sergeant prior to his military retirement.
Following his service to his country, he and his family moved to Red Hook in 1967. Mr. Ezzell went to work as a systems analyst for IBM in both Kingston and Poughkeepsie.
He is survived by: his son and daughter-in-law, Wade and Robin Ezzell of Red Hook; his grandson, Ben Ezzell of Elizaville; extended family, friends and colleagues.
In addition to his wife and daughter, he was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Faye and two brothers, Guy and Hugh Ezzell.

Walter W. Sticker (1931 – 2017)
HUDSON—Walter W. Sticker, 86, of Copake passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Columbia Memorial Hospital. Born in New York City January 27, 1931, he was the son of the late Walter G. and Eugenia (Miller) Sticker.
After high school, Mr. Sticker served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a skilled artist/carpenter and worked many years for Jonas Studios, and was principal in the construction of the famous dinosaur exhibit produced for the Sinclair Oil Company of Utah, which appeared in the 1964 World’s Fair in New York.
He served as a volunteer firefighter with the Churchtown Fire Company, and was a former member of the Masonic Lodge #335 in Livingston.
Mr. Sticker will be greatly missed by: his loving wife, Helen (Bohling) Sticker of Copake; two sons, William and (Ellen) Sticker of Marlboro and Thomas J. Sticker of Rensselaer; a daughter, Diane (Charles) Horrocks of Red Hook, and his sister, Lillian Stephen of Lone Pine, CA.
Funeral services will take place Monday, March 20, 2017, 11 a.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 8 Storm Avenue, Hudson with Pastor Jonathan Hodges officiating. Alice P. Krisniski (1930 – 2017)
ALBANY—Alice Patricia Krisniski of Greenport passed away peacefully after a brief illness Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Albany Medical Center.
Born in Hudson, February 12, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Laura (Butkus) Krisniski.
Ms. Krisniski was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy in Hudson and worked as an operator and supervisor for New York Telephone and later NYNEX and Verizon. She retired from the phone company after 38 years.
She was a devoted and active member of Holy Trinity Parish/ St. Mary’s Church and the Christian Service Committee as well as the Greenport Seniors.
She will greatly missed by: her beloved twin sister, Helen L. Krisniski of Greenport; her sister, Stella Alessio of Pittsfield, MA; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Stanley, Victor, Frank, Peter, Anthony and Edward Krisniski. Calling hours will be held Monday, March 20, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Sacco-McDonald-Valenti Funeral Home, 700 Town Hall Drive, Greenport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated Tuesday, March 21, 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Parish, 429 East Allen Street, Hudson with Fr. Anthony Barrett and Fr. Winston Bath officiating. Joseph J. Marchetto, Sr. (1929 – 2017)
LENOX, MA—Joseph J. Marchetto, Sr., passed away March 17, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Care Center in Lenox, MA, with his family by his side.
Born August 5, 1929 in West Stockbridge, MA, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Lucia Sgreva Marchetto from Gambrellara, Italy.
He was a graduate of the former Williams High School in Stockbridge, MA, and served in the Air Force prior to starting his own trucking business, Marchetto Trucking from 1951 to 1967.
Together with his wife and family, they built and operated Woodland Hills Campground in Austerlitz from 1969 to 1983. Upon retiring he went on to work for Luchi Builders, Nolan Trucking and William Kie Trucking until he retired at 80.
He was predeceased by his sister, Antoinette Carpino, and his brothers, Mario and Guido (John) Marchetto and daughter-in- law, Heather Marchetto.
He is survived by: his wife of 63 years, Dorothy; children, Diane (Michael) Faucher of Pittsfield, MA, Jospeh Marchetto, Jr., (Stephen O’Reilly) of Hudson, Kevin (Karen) Marchetto of Kinderhook and Suzanne Desnoyers (Michael Gardella) of Canaan; grandchildren, Sarah Truden, Michelle Contenta, Craig, Scott and Logan Desnoyers, Kristine Wills, Jennifer and Michael Marchetto; six great-grandchildren and his dog Mandy.
Mr. Marchetto enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending his winters in Florida.
Family will receive friends at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, 25 Railroad Avenue, Chatham, April 8, 10 a.m. with a prayer service at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Austerlitz Cemetery.
