Herbert Ogden (1927 – 2017)
ALBANY—Herbert Ogden, 90, of Livingston died June 13, 2017 at Albany Medical Center after a long illness.
Born May 23, 1927 in Hudson, he was the son of the late Robert and Emma (Lasher) Ogden.
Prior to his retirement, he owned and operated his own business, Ogden’s Repair Shop, a farm machinery mechanical repair shop in Red Hook. He was also a Leland Tractor dealer, raised rabbits and was an avid deer hunter.
Survivors include: his three sons, Donald (Mary), Calvin (Candy) and James (Shelly); two daughters, Kathy (Calvin) Miller and Dolores (Michael) Diamanti; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Katherine, who died July 24, 1992; two brothers, Robert and Harry Ogden.
Calling hours will be held Friday, June 16 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Germantown. Services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in the Viewmonte Rural Cemetery in Clermont.

Brett A. Cappelli (1997 – 2017)
CHATHAM—Brett A. Cappelli, 19, of Valatie passed away June 11, 2017 in Chatham as the result of a swimming accident.
He was born November 6, 1997 in Bronxville, the son of Brett A. Cappelli and Jo-Ann (Tarrats) Cappelli of Valatie.
Mr. Cappelli was a graduate of Ichabod Crane High School, Class of 2016, and attended Columbia-Greene Community College, completing his first year studying psychology. He loved making people laugh, he was a “people person” and he loved playing video games.
Besides his mother and father, he is survived by: his brother, Brendan; his paternal grandparents, Roch and Jane Cappelli; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours at Richards Funeral Home, 28 North Vernon Street, Athens, Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 3 to 7 p.m.
