Katherine D. Miller (1935 – 2018)

ANCRAMDALE—Katherine De Forest Miller, 82, of Route 82 passed away at home Wednesday, February 21, 2018.

She was born March 4, 1935 in Beekman, the daughter of William J. and Eleanor (Weaver) De Forest.

Mrs. Miller along with her husband, Harold, owned and operated the Millerhurst Farm in Ancramdale. She was very active member of the ENY Holstein Club.

Her greatest achievement and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren especially spending many hours in the kitchen baking.

On April 16, 1955 in Hopewell Junction, she married Harold C. Miller.

He predeceased her December 28, 2009.

Survivors include: her four sons, James P. (Janice) Miller, Thomas A. Miller, Joseph P. (Hilda) Miller, Michael E. (Emily) Miller; 11 grandchildren, Shannon, Erin, Melissa, Leah, Hannah, Cassidy, Adam, Benjamin, Sarah, Jesse and Autumn; seven great-grandchildren, Michael A., Lisa, Quentin, Hope Emily, Otto, Kaden and Kayleigh.

She is also survived by: a brother, Peter De Forest; four sisters, Margaret Farmer, Jane Whitman, Sue Ellen De Forest, Frances Antill and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by grandson, Michael E. Miller, Jr., December 12, 2009; two brothers, William and James De Forest; three sisters, Mary Johnston, Eleanor Ferland and Julia Kinkle.

There are no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Terry A. Coons (1958 – 2018)

HUDSON—Terry A. Coons, 59, peacefully passed at Columbia Memorial Hospital February 21, 2018.

She was born May 2, 1958 to Joseph Coons, Sr., and late Kathrine (Feller) Coons.

She is survived by: her spouse of 28 years, Glaron Monk; her children, Travis Monk, Glaron J. Monk, and Brendon Monk; grandchildren, Jayden, Tasia and Ayanna; her sister, Brenda (William) Moore; brother, Joseph (JoAnn) Coons, Jr., and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

She was predeceased by her grandson, Camron Monk.

She always loved to work in her yard, grow her garden and play with her grandchildren. She was a very loving woman, and will be missed greatly.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, February 28 from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Germantown. Services follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
