Pauline H. Kirsch (1942 – 2018)
ALBANY—Pauline H. Kirsch, 75, of Chatham, formerly of Niverville, died Thursday, May 10, 2018 at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn.
Born August 13, 1942 in Hudson, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Hawver) Bessman.
It is with great joy edged with sadness, that the family of Pauline Kirsch announces the completion of her earthly journey. All of her hard work has been laid down as she takes up whatever heaven has in store for her including a peaceful rest.
Mrs. Kirsch cannot be summed up by a list of accomplishments, studies, honors and awards because her treasures were the people she loved.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Don Kirsch; her three daughters, of whom she was so proud, Debbie Oleynek (Steve), Jodi Haier (Ron), and Beth Barnes (Scott); her six beloved grandchildren, Erin Haier (Cody), Stephen Oleynek, Anthony Barnes, Andrew Haier, Joseph Oleynek and Katelyn Barnes; her sister, Lois Gengenbach of Cooperstown; a brother, David Bessman of Albany; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Everett Bessman.
All who were touched and changed by Mrs. Kirsch’s loving kindness are asked to join her family in sharing stories and memories at the calling hours and funeral service Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the Niverville United Methodist Church. From 3 to 5 p.m., everyone will gather, greet each other and share music, laughter and tears. This time will be immediately followed by a service of celebration, honor and healing.
Mrs. Kirsch loved her community, her church, and her family plus all those she adopted into it.

Arrangements are with the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, 1015 Kinderhook Street, Valatie.
Richard H. Wolff (1928 – 2018)
LIVINGSTON—Richard Hackett Wolff, 89, died peacefully at Livingston Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Tuesday, May 8, 2018 after a long illness.
Born June 18, 1928 at St. Agnes Hospital in White Plains, he was the son of Harry Francis Wolff and Genevieve (Hackett) Wolff.
He was a graduate of White Plains High School and Colgate University, class of 1950, with a BA in chemistry.
He served his country as a lieutenant in the 95th Bomb Squadron of U.S. Air Force from 1952 to 1955, flying out of K-9 in Pusan during the Korean War, and later here in the United States. Subsequently, he worked for many years in the pharmaceutical advertising industry. After leaving the advertising industry, he and his son, Timothy operated a popular retail seafood store in Valhalla for many years before he retired to Livingston.
He is survived by: his wife, Paula Kristofik Wolff of Livingston; four sons, Richard Hackett Wolff, Jr., of Wyckoff, NJ, Thomas Christopher Wolff of Prescott, AZ, Timothy Wolff of South Salem and Robert Wolff of Santa Clarita, CA. Additionally, he leaves behind 10 grandchildren, Christopher Wolff, Catherine Wolff, Steven Wolff, Kyle Wolff, Ryan Wolff, Caitlyn Wolff, Samantha Wolff, Harrison Wolff, Annika Wolff and Elisabeth Wolff. He will also be greatly missed by his beloved Newfoundland dog, Princess Penny.
In accordance with his wishes, there were no services. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
