OBITUARIES: Golisano, Zaentz

Elio Golisano (1942 – 2018)

HUDSON—Elio Golisano, 76, of Germantown died September 18, 2018 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.

Born February 8, 1942 in Piazza Armerina, Italy, the son of the late Giuseppi and Maria (LaDelia) Golisano.

He was the owner of E.G. Precision Mfg. Corp. which is a defense contractor.

Survivors include: his wife, Giovanna (LaMonica) Golisano; five children, Daniel J. Golisano, Robert L. Golisano, Sylvia M. Golisano-Rinne, Gabrielle L. Golisano Gentile and David J. Golisano; eight grandchidren, Ashley M. Rinne, Andrew J. Rinne, C. J. Rinne III, Nicolas Rinne, Freddie J. Odierno, Jr., Stephenie L. Odierno, Joseph Golisano, Caroline Golisano and Domenic Golisano.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 24 at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Germantown. Burial followed in the Viewmont Rural Cemetery.

Dorothy N. Zaentz (1943 – 2018)

CHATHAM—Dorothy Nock Zaentz, age 75, died of amytrophic lateral sclerosis September 20, 2018.

Mrs. Zaentz is survived by: her husband, S. Donald Zaentz of Chatham; her daughter, Jennifer Rebecca Lindberg of East Chatham; her son, Jonathan Andrew Zaentz of Chicago, IL; her daughter, Emily Anne Zaentz of Brooklyn; her grandchildren, Eliza, Ava and Jeremy.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Nock of Cornwall-on-Hudson.

She was born June 22, 1943 in Jersey City, NJ, to parents Walter and Dorothy Nock. She attended Russell Sage College in Troy from 1961 to 1963 and graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, IA, with a degree in political science in 1985.

She married S. Donald Zaentz August 25, 1963.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the St. Peter’s ALS Regional Center and the Chatham Synagogue.
