Harold Krambeck (1929 – 2018)
HUDSON—Harold Krambeck, age 89, passed away November 13 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Moline, Illinois in 1929.
He enlisted in the US. Army in August 1948.
Mr. Krambeck was a corporal in Company A Third Infantry. He received the badge of honor for his duty as honor guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider in Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia.
Mr. Krambeck was employed by Universal Match until retirement.
He was a 34-year member of American Legion Post 184 and served as commander for several years.
Mr. Krambeck was predeceased by his son, Ricky Krambeck; stepchildren, Becky Arcuri and Gearald Alger.
His is survived by: his wife, Viola Krambeck; sons, Wayne (Kate) Krambeck, Ronnie (Gina) Krambeck; stepchildren, Sharon (Al) Schofeild, Mike (Sharon) Alger, David Alger, Dennis (Mary) Alger and Cindy Alger; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are Sunday, November 18, noon to 2 p.m. at the M. Grimaldi Funeral Home, 25 Railroad Avenue, Chatham. Burial will be held Monday, November 19, 10 a.m. at Cedar Park Cemetery in Hudson.
Katherine T. Loucks (1933 – 2018)
KINDERHOOK—Katherine T. Loucks, age 85 years, of Kinderhook passed away November 13, 2018.
She was the daughter of George and Ruthanna Traister, born February 10, 1933 in Syracuse.
She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Lawrence E. Loucks and her brother, George Traister.
Survivors include: her children, Karen Baillargeon (Neal), Thomas Loucks (Cynthia), Lauren McDarby (David), Daniel Loucks (Eva) and Jennifer Greene (Robert); grandchildren, Megan McGivney (Kenneth), Erin Baillargeon, Elizabeth McDarby, Colleen McDarby, Nicholas Loucks, Ryan Loucks, Courtney Loucks, Ellen Bury, Maisey Loucks, Kyla Loucks, Theresa Loucks, Joshua Loucks, Hannah Greene, Ali Greene; great-grandchildren, Alessandra McGivney and Maia McGivney.
Mrs. Loucks was involved with Girl Scouts most of her life. She received the Thanks badge for her 30 years of volunteer service. She was also recognized by the Kinderhook Elks for service to girls in her community. After her retirement she enjoyed planning trips for the Tri-Village Seniors. Mrs. Loucks was a lifelong crafter who enjoyed spending her time quilting and knitting for others.
Calling hours take place November 17, 2018, 10 a.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, 1015 Kinderhook Street, Valatie, followed by a service at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the Kinderhook Cemetery.
