State Police charge 5 drivers in alcohol-related cases

CHATHAM—State Police report the removal of numerous impaired drivers from public roadways.

The following face drug- and/or alcohol-related charges:

*Daniel J. Williams, 22, of Nassau was charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) by State Police from Kinderhook, February 22. Mr. Williams was traveling on County Route 28 in Chatham, when he was involved in a one-car motor vehicle crash. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.

*John C. Berth, 21, of Ghent was charged with aggravated DWI by State Police from Livingston, February 24. Mr. Berth was traveling on MacIntosh Drive in Claverack, when he was involved in a one-car motor vehicle crash. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol. He was subsequently arrested.

*Christina Delgado, 38, of Pittsfield, MA, was charged with DWI by State Police from New Lebanon, February 24. Ms. Delgado was traveling on State Route 20 in New Lebanon, when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol. She was subsequently arrested.

*Kelly S. Fischer, 36, of Albany was charged with aggravated DWI—Leandra’s Law by State Police from New Lebanon, February 24. Ms. Fischer was traveling on State Route 20 in New Lebanon, when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that she was driving while impaired by alcohol and had children in the vehicle. She was subsequently arrested.

*Gary W. Jamross, 59, of Pittsfield, NY, was charged with DWI by State Police from New Lebanon, March 2. Mr. Jamross was traveling on State Route 20 in New Lebanon, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol. He was subsequently arrested.

*Devin A. Stroh, 31, of Richmond, VA, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs (DWAI drugs), and third degree aggravated unlicensed operation, both misdemeanors, by State Police from Livingston, March 3. Mr. Stroh was traveling on State Route 9H in Claverack, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by drugs. He was subsequently arrested.
