GREENPORT – Columbia-Greene Workforce New York office is accepting applications now for the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) for Columbia and Greene county residents.

Rebecca Preusser, assistant director of Workforce Development, explained that several positions are now available to area youths ages 14 to 20 who are enrolled in school, including outdoor projects, running from July 6 to August 14. Many are being modified to conform to COVID-19 guidelines and regulations.

“We are working closely with our clients to develop COVID safety plans,” she said in a press release. “The program may be different this year, with options that include more than job placement at worksites, but all participants will either be making a wage for participation.”

Interested students may download the SYEP application at http://www.columbiagreeneworks.org and e-mail the completed form to rebecca.preusser@sunycgcc.edu, or mail the completed form to Workforce Investment Office, Columbia-Greene Community College, 4400 Route 23, Hudson 12534.
