A peaceful “Black Lives Matter” demonstration took place at the entrance to Promenade Hill, Hudson, Sunday, May 31 at 4 p.m. Hudson Mayor Kamal Johnson sent out an announcement about it and asked everyone to remain indoors starting at 8:30 p.m. that night. Speakers addressed the crowd of about 300 people. Most participants wore masks and some carried signs saying, “Justice for George Floyd,” “End White Silence,” “White Silence = Violence,” “End Police Brutality.” Photo by Lance Wheeler
