Nobody here is in hot water

Ninety plungers either tip-toed or charged into the water at Oakdale Lake in Hudson for the 5th annual Polar Plunge on Saturday March 5. A costume contest preceded the main event, and safety was ensured by the Hudson Fire Department Water Rescue and Dive Team. This year the cold-water plungers raised about $46,427, exceeding their goal by more than $6,000. The money benefits the Hudson Youth Department for their lifeguard program as well as the Water Rescue and Dive Team. The top fundraising team was the MetzWood Insurance team who presented a giant check in the amount of 6,278. to the event organizers. Pictured is a group calling themselves the Cabbage Patch Kids. They made the biggest splash. Photo by David Lee
