Nutten Hook in the Town of Stuyvesant is an access point to the Hudson River shoreline in Columbia County. It’s beauty was on display Saturday, October 15, when the leaves were in full fall color. Friends Lisa Samsel, Tracy Wolfe, Justin Miller and Dawn Purdy were sifting through the river jetsam at low tide for precious rocks with which to make jewelry. Occasionally they find a fossil or an arrow head. That Saturday they were looking for Herkimer diamonds. Photo by David Lee
