RHINEBECK—Nancy Ann Bates, 79, of Germantown passed away November 14, 2020 at Northern Dutchess Hospital.
Born in Valatie, she was the daughter of the late Edson and Nettie (Stribeck) Folmsbee, Sr.

CANAAN—George Powers Cockcroft, 87, of Canaan passed away November 6, 2020 in the comfort of his home under the care of Hospice and his loving family.
He was predeceased by his older sister, Patricia (Cockcroft) Morgan, and his younger brother, James D. Cockcroft.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Ann; his three sons, Corbett, Powers and Chris; three nephews; three nieces; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a wonderful extended family. Read more…

WILMINGTON, NC—With deepest sorrow, his family announces the passing of Jordan T. Starr, 28, of Valatie, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend to many.
He passed away at New Hanover Regional Medical Center on October 29, 2020 in Wilmington, North Carolina, surrounded by his loving family as a result of injuries sustained in an accident.
He was born May 16, 1992 in Hudson to Sherry LaFountain. He graduated from Ichabod Crane Central High School in 2011. He had been living in Wilmington/Leland, North Carolina and worked for SOUND Heavy Machinery as a diesel engine technician/Cummins specialist/heavy equipment mechanic.
